The Women in Finance Awards is Europe’s largest diversity initiative, recognising the high-achievers, advocates, and role models for women in the sector.

The latest Women in Finance Awards took place on 27 June 2018 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, hosting 800 of the UK’s top finance professionals. Now, the event  is coming to Ireland to continue its mission of celebrating and encouraging female talent in finance.

Organised by Vitesse Media and supported by GrowthBusiness.co.uk and What Investment magazine, the most recent London event celebrated the achievements of 222 finalists out of over 793 nominations received, across a broad range of sectors, from the world of venture capital and banking to accountancy and corporate law.

The driving force behind the Women in Finance Awards is our aspiration to see gender balance at all levels in finance. This isn’t just a matter of corporate responsibility; it’s a matter of national urgency.

For our London event in 2018, our key commercial partners were AIG, AXA, Belvedere, EY, FinTech Strategic Advisory Ltd, GP Bullhound, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, London Stock Exchange, LV=, Macquarie, M&G Investments, NatWest, Prudential, Rolls-Royce, Schroders, and Virgin Money.

Our media partners included UK Business Angels Association, London Women’s Forum, The Personal Investment Management and Financial Advice Association (PIMFA), SavvyWoman, Voice at the Table, Innovate Finance, and Women’s Enterprise Scotland.

Presenting the ceremony was respected journalist, broadcaster and TV presenter Louise Minchin, while keynote speaker John Glen MP, Economic Secretary to HM Treasury, delivered an insightful keynote speech.

We hope you will join us in our mission to promote the fortunes of women in Ireland’s burgeoning finance sector. With your help, we can shape a future for the industry underpinned by inclusivity and opportunity for all.
